As President and CEO of Vesta Corporation, Arthur draws upon his 40 years of industry experience. Arthur’s creative vision fuels his passion for developing high quality affordable housing that will create an environment for residents to achieve their goals. Arthur’s strength is his innovative vision and creative use of complex financial tools to solve development challenges. New business development is Arthur’s passion, for which his ability to incorporate the conflicting interests of various stakeholders is uniquely suited. Arthur was the first general counsel of the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (“CHFA”) for which he helped create the Uninsured Multifamily Mortgage Program, and was responsible for devising creative workouts for troubled projects. Prior to his CHFA tenure, Arthur specialized in real estate law with a Hartford law firm. Arthur has a J.D. from the University of Connecticut, School of Law and a B.S. from American International College.
Lewis Brown | Executive Vice President Acquisitions & Development | VCard
Lewis joined Vesta in 2005, and since that time developed an expertise in deal identification, feasibility analysis, development planning and implementation, and construction oversight. Currently, he is focused on growing Vesta’s portfolio with responsibilities that include identifying new opportunities, negotiating with sellers, and securing various sources of capital. Before joining Vesta, Lewis worked as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Boston, focusing on litigation and transactional issues related to real estate, contracts, and construction. Earlier in his career, he was an associate attorney at the Boston law firm of Atwood & Cherny. Lewis is an adjunct faculty member in UCONN’s Executive MBA program, teaching Real Estate Investments and Capital Markets. Lewis is a member of the Advisory Board of Kids on the Ball, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to bring the sport of tennis to economically disadvantaged neighborhoods, schools, children and teens. Lewis graduated summa cum laude from Suffolk University Law School and with honors from the University of Michigan.
Candice Greenberg | Executive Vice President | VCard
Candice began working with Vesta in 2013, and in 2015 assumed a role on the senior leadership team. Candice joined the Acquisition and Development division as a project manager, and presently works on an array of Development projects. Candice has extensive public sector and non-profit experience, including as Executive Director of Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto, a non-profit providing legal services related to housing, consumer protection, home mortgage foreclosure, predatory lending, and immigration to low-income clients. Earlier, Candice worked as a staff attorney at Legal Aid of Marin and as an attorney with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She earned her undergraduate degree from Tufts University and her JD from the University of Michigan Law School.
Kristine Bidmead | Vice President, Corporate Controller | VCard
Kristine joined Vesta in 2000 as a member of Vesta’s property accounting team before eventually joining the corporate accounting team. She is now responsible for financial reporting, tax reporting, cash management, and the budgeting and forecasting of Vesta Corporation and its affiliates. Prior to joining Vesta, Kristine worked for McGladrey & Pullen, LLC and received her Certified Public Accountant designation. Kristine is a graduate of Salve Regina University with a B.S. in Business Administration ñ Accounting and Finance.
Bob Cuttle | Vice President | VCard
Bob joined Vesta in 2019 as Vice President. He is responsible for overseeing Property Management and is responsible for the overall performance of communities in Vesta’s portfolio. Bob is known for his hands-on approach to operational success and his commitment to employee development and support. He brings to Vesta 30 years’ experience in effective and efficient physical, fiscal, and compliance operations of multi-family housing communities. Prior to joining Vesta, Bob served as Executive Vice President at Trinity Management. While there, he oversaw a portfolio of 7,800 units of affordable, market rate, and commercial units. Bob is intricately involved with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He has served in many roles with IREM including President of the Rhode Island chapter, Regional Vice President for Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island chapters, and on a number of national committees. Bob holds his Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from IREM and is a Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM) from the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) and is a Registered Cooperative Manager (RCM) with the National Association of Housing Cooperatives (NAHC).
