    Charles Moran

    Chuck joined Vesta in 2012 and is responsible for the overall direction of the property management function and performance of the communities in the Vesta portfolio. He is a seasoned real estate professional, with more than 40 years of successful property and asset management experience. Chuck has overseen property management and asset management of portfolios in excess of 12,000 apartments across multiple states and regions for a variety of owners and operators including: Conifer Realty, The Community Builders, Claremont Corporation, and Corcoran Management. Chuck has extensive experience with both affordable and conventional apartments, Section 42 Tax Credits, Public Housing, and HOPE VI mixed income communities. Chuck is a former President of the Boston Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College.

    Paul Bearce

    Paul joined Vesta in 1998 and is currently responsible for oversight of all physical plant activities including all third party physical inspections, as well as capital improvement and construction projects. He has been working in conventional and affordable housing since 1984 and has held multi-site and regional management positions with many companies, including Corcoran Management Company and A.J. Lane and Company. He possesses extensive knowledge of Section 8, the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program, HOME, and other affordable housing programs.  Paul is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) candidate and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM). He has received and maintains his Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) and Certified LIHTC Specialist (C3P) designations. Paul graduated with a B.S. in Management from Western New England University.

    Susan Forzono

    Sue joined Vesta in 2006 bringing over twenty years of experience in accounting and financial systems. She currently leads the property accounting team with responsibility for financial management, financial reporting, accounts payable, cash management, budgeting and forecasting, and coordination of external audits and implementation of accounting systems for the Vesta portfolio. Sue has been instrumental in building a high performing team with focus on aligning operations and accounting, maintaining high standards of data integrity and internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Prior to joining Vesta, she held various financial positions at Diageo (formerly Heublein) in Connecticut and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals (Lederle Laboratories Div.) of New York. Sue graduated with a B.S in Business Administration - Accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey.

    Ashley Johnson

    Ashley joined Vesta in 2017 and is responsible for guiding all regulatory compliance activities across the portfolio. Ashley has worked in affordable housing for over fourteen years and has extensive experience monitoring compliance in Low Income Housing Tax Credit and HUD projects. Ashley leads a compliance team that is responsible for reviewing property and resident files along with other necessary documents to assess and ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines. She has received and maintains the following designations: Certified LIHTC Specialist (C8P), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Certified Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), Certified Financial Specialist (CFS), MOR Specialist (MORS), Certified Manager of Housing (CMH), and Certified Manager of Maintenance (CMM). Ashley graduated with a B.S. in English from Central Connecticut State University.

    Ashley McLaughlin

    Ashley joined Vesta in 2012 as Marketing Coordinator providing advertising and leasing support to all Vesta communities. Ashley brought to the position extensive experience and creativity necessary to effectively support site staff allowing them to meet or exceed leasing and occupancy goals. She implemented and has continuously trained staff on the latest leasing best practices.  Since joining Vesta, Ashley’s role has evolved such that she now oversees and coordinates Vesta’s corporate image, and promotion of the overall brand, through an extensive communication and outreach plan. Ashley started in property management with WinnResidential, and successfully oversaw the management of several conventional, and affordable housing communities. She has a strong working knowledge of affordable programs, including Section 42 LIHTC and HUD Section 8. Ashley has received her National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP), Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM), and Certified LIHTC Specialist (C3P) designations.  Ashley graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration – Marketing from Central Connecticut State University.

    Jennifer Moran

    Jen joined Vesta in 2011 and is primarily responsible for Vesta’s Ohio and New Jersey portfolio where she focuses on financial performance, communication, motivation, and team building to assist in each community's operational success. Jen started her career in affordable housing. After spending almost 15 years in conventional multifamily housing, where she specialized in financial results and marketing, she returned to affordable housing with Vesta. She is an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM), Certified Property Manager (CPM), and RAM instructor and has received and maintains her Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) and Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) designations. Jen has worked in multiple states throughout the Midwest and on the East Coast.

    Crystal Moya

    Crystal joined Vesta in 2015 and is primarily responsible for Vesta’s Texas portfolio, where she focuses on financial performance, communication, motivation, and team building to assist in each community's operational success. Crystal started her career in real estate. After spending almost 6 years in real estate sales & management, where she specialized in profit maximization, marketing, and sales, she jumped into the affordable housing industry with Wedge Management, Inc., a non-profit affordable housing provider located in San Antonio. She is a CPM candidate and has received and maintains her Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO) and Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM) designations. Crystal graduated cum laude from The University of Texas at San Antonio where she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management.

    Cheryl Colbath

    Cheryl joined Vesta is 2003 as the Property Manager of one of Vesta’s largest and complex communities. In 2015, she assumed the position of Regional Manager with direct oversight and support of the Connecticut portfolio.  Cheryl has been in residential property management for more than 20 years and brings a wealth of commercial, conventional, and affordable housing experience to her role.  Before joining Vesta, Cheryl worked for Konover Residential.  Her extensive experience, knowledge and understanding of affordable programs, including Section 8 and Low Income Housing Tax Credits, is critical to insuring that the portfolio is in compliance with all necessary regulatory requirements and operates at Vesta’s high standard. She is an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) and has received and maintains her Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) and Certified LIHTC Specialist (C3P) designations.
