Co-founder of Vesta Corporation, Arthur’s highly adaptive and innovative vision, combined with extensive industry experience, make him well-suited to lead and support Vesta’s ongoing growth as President and CEO. New business development is Arthur’s passion, for which his ability to integrate the conflicting interests of various participants and partners is uniquely suited. Arthur was the first general counsel of the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority for whom he helped create the Uninsured Multifamily Mortgage Program, and was responsible for devising creative workouts for troubled projects. Prior to his CHFA tenure, Arthur specialized in real estate law with a Hartford, CT law firm. Arthur has a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a B.S. from American International College.
Lewis Brown | Executive Vice President | VCard
Lewis joined Vesta in 2005, and since that time has developed an expertise in deal identification, feasibility analysis, development planning and implementation, and construction oversight. Currently, he is focused on growing Vesta’s portfolio with responsibilities that include identifying new opportunities, negotiating with sellers, and securing various sources of capital. Before joining Vesta, Lewis worked as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Boston, which included litigation and transactional issues related to real estate, contracts, and construction. Earlier in his career, he was an associate attorney at the Boston law firm of Atwood & Cherny. Lewis graduated summa cum laude from Suffolk University Law School and with honors from the University of Michigan.
Joshua Greenblatt | Executive Vice President | VCard
Josh joined Vesta in 1998. During his tenure at Vesta, Josh has been involved in all facets of the business, ranging from finance and development, to property operations and construction. To facilitate Vesta’s 2016 growth goal, his emphasis is on identifying new acquisition opportunities. In this vein, Josh is tasked with deal identification, initial due diligence, oversight of deal feasibility analysis, and negotiating with sellers and funding sources. Josh earned an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut School of Business and a B.A. from Goucher College.
Charles Moran | Executive Vice President | VCard
Chuck joined Vesta in 2012 and is responsible for the overall direction of the property management function and performance of the communities in the Vesta portfolio. He is a seasoned real estate professional, with more than 40 years of successful property and asset management experience. Chuck has overseen property management and asset management of portfolios in excess of 12,000 apartments across multiple states and regions for a variety of owners and operators including: Conifer Realty, The Community Builders, Claremont Corporation, and Corcoran Management. Chuck has extensive experience with both affordable and conventional apartments, Section 42 Tax Credits, Public Housing, and HOPE VI mixed income communities. Chuck is a former President of the Boston Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College.
Candice Greenberg | Vice President | VCard
Candice began working with Vesta in 2013, and in 2015 assumed a role on the senior leadership team. Candice joined the Acquisition and Development division as a project manager, and presently works on an array of Development projects. Candice has extensive public sector and non-profit experience, including as Executive Director of Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto, a non-profit providing legal services related to housing, consumer protection, home mortgage foreclosure, predatory lending, and immigration to low-income clients. Earlier, Candice worked as a staff attorney at Legal Aid of Marin and as an attorney with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She earned her undergraduate degree from Tufts University and her JD from the University of Michigan Law School.
Shannon Jeroszko | Vice President |
Shannon joined Vesta in 2013, bringing 15 years of Human Resources experience with similarly sized corporate and not for profit organizations including Community Health Services, in Hartford, CT, The Bridge Family Center, in West Hartford, CT, and Open Solutions, in Glastonbury, CT. Before working in Connecticut, Shannon lived and worked in Denver, CO for CSG Systems. Shannon’s expertise lies in employee relations and has worked in positions that involved recruitment, training, compensation administration, and benefit administration. Shannon graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Psychology.
Margo Kelleher | Vice President | VCard
Margo joined Arthur and Steve in 1986, and is a cornerstone of Vesta. Margo is involved in all aspects of new business development, project finance, and asset management. Margo is expert in pre-development, including feasibility analysis of new projects, arranging debt and equity financing, and development plan implementation. Prior to joining Vesta, Margo was Director of Single-Family Programs at Connecticut Housing Investment Fund, Inc. Margo has an A.B. from Dartmouth College.
Kristine Bidmead | Corporate Controller |
Kristine joined Vesta in 2000 as a member of Vesta’s property accounting team before eventually joining the corporate accounting team. She is now responsible for financial reporting, tax reporting, cash management, and the budgeting and forecasting of Vesta Corporation and its affiliates. Prior to joining Vesta, Kristine worked for McGladrey & Pullen, LLC and received her Certified Public Accountant designation. Kristine is a graduate of Salve Regina University with a B.S. in Business Administration – Accounting and Finance.
Aaron Greenblatt | Counsel | VCard
Aaron joined Vesta as Counsel in 2017. Prior to his tenure, Aaron practiced at a major Connecticut law firm representing lenders and borrowers, including Vesta, in various commercial transactions, including acquisition and construction financing, bond and tax credit transactions, and traditional mortgage financing. Aaron utilizes his diverse legal background in all aspects of Vesta’s business. Aaron graduated cum laude from Tufts University and has a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
Ashley Johnson | Director of Compliance | VCard
Ashley joined Vesta in 2017 and is responsible for guiding all regulatory compliance activities across the portfolio. Ashley has worked in affordable housing for over fourteen years and has extensive experience monitoring compliance in Low Income Housing Tax Credit and HUD projects. Ashley leads a compliance team that is responsible for reviewing property and resident files along with other necessary documents to assess and ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines. She has received and maintains the following designations: Certified LIHTC Specialist (C8P), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Certified Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), Certified Financial Specialist (CFS), MOR Specialist (MORS), Certified Manager of Housing (CMH), and Certified Manager of Maintenance (CMM). Ashley graduated with a B.S. in English from Central Connecticut State University.
